This is the start of the stable review cycle for the 6.17.5 release.
There are 160 patches in this series, all will be posted as a response
to this one.  If anyone has any issues with these being applied, please
let me know.

Tested rc2 against the Fedora build system (aarch64, ppc64le, s390x,
x86_64), and boot tested x86_64. No regressions noted.

Build and boot tested 6.17.5-rc2 using qemu-x86_64. The kernel was
successfully built and booted in a virtualized environment without any
issues.

6.17.5-rc2 compiles on x86_64 (Xeon E5-1620 v2, Slackware64-15.0),
and boots & runs on x86_64 (AMD Ryzen 5 7520U, Slackware64-current).
No regressions observed.

Builds, boots and works on my 2-socket Ivy Bridge Xeon E5-2697 v2 server. No more screen problems, no dmesg oddities or
