We've added a bunch of these per-SoC data structures to the Tegra30 file over the years. Primarily this was done because the register layout introduced in Tegra30 has remained largely the same. In most cases it's on the order of a hundred lines of code per SoC and sometimes there's reuse of data and function pointers, so keeping it all in one file has the benefit of not needing dependencies between files, and the file size is still very manageable.
