Remove platform data & initialize with defaults
configuration & overwrite based on DT properties.

Changes in V2:
- Allow initializing the driver with defaults & overrid based on DT
  properties if specified.
- Remove unrelated changes.
- Optimise ppr check to remove unacceptable range.
