[PATCH] hwmon: refactor deprecated strncpy
Posted by Justin Stitt 2 years, 5 months ago
`strncpy` is deprecated for use on NUL-terminated destination strings [1].

We should prefer more robust and less ambiguous string interfaces.

A suitable replacement is `strscpy` [2] due to the fact that it guarantees
NUL-termination on the destination buffer without unnecessarily NUL-padding.

This will truncate the destination by 1 training character. This is better
replaced with just memcpy() (all the size information has already been
calculated and %NUL termination space made in the kcalloc() above it.
