charset="utf-8" From: Simon Scherer The SDM specifies that FCOM/FCOMP/FCOMPP/FUCOM/FUCOMP/FUCOMPP/FICOM/FICOMP/ FCOMI/FCOMIP/FUCOMI/FUCOMIP unconditionally clear C1 in the FPU status word, regardless of the comparison result. helper_fcom_ST0_FT0/helper_fucom_ST0_FT0 only cleared C3, C2, C0 (mask 0x4500) before OR-ing in the comparison result, leaving C1 (bit 9) at whatever value it already had. FICOM/FICOMP dispatch through the same helpers after converting their integer operand, so they inherited the same bug. helper_fcomi_ST0_FT0/helper_fucomi_ST0_FT0 never touched the FPU status word at all, so C1 was left untouched by those too. This patch clears C1 explicitly in all four helpers, adding the clear into the existing fpus mask for fcom/fucom since fcom_ccval never sets bit 9. For fcomi/fucomi add a new separate clear. Both should end up marked valid in the FPU tag word. helper_fxtract() only marks the new one valid, via fpush(). The old ST(0) just keeps whatever tag it had before the instruction, even though it was just written with the exponent. So if it happened to be tagged empty beforehand, it is still (wrongly) tagged empty afterwards. Add a fpush_fxtract() helper that does the usual fpush() and also marks the old ST(0) (now ST(1)) valid, and use it in place of plain fpush() at all previous call sites in helper_fxtract(). charset="utf-8" From: Andrey Polivoda According to both table A-3 in Volume 2 of Intel 64 and IA-32 Architectures Software Developer's Manual and table A-3 in Volume 3 of AMD64 Architecture Programmer's Manual, 0F C3 is decoded as MOVNTI only if the instruction is not preceded by prefixes 0x66, 0xF2, or 0xF3. Currently, QEMU does not check the presence of these prefixes when decoding 0F C3, which leads to QEMU happily executing 0F C3 as MOVNTI instead of rai= sing an expected #UD when any of these prefixes are present, which does not match the behavior of the real hardware. This patch fixes this bug by correcting the decode table for MOVNTI so that it requires that none of the 0x66, 0xF2, and 0xF3 prefixes is present.
